The Ellen MacArthur Foundation contacted Tom Rommens, CIRCUSOL coordinator, for their series of articles about renewables. For now, this series only counts on two parts:

• Part 1: Why renewable energy infrastructure needs to be built using a circular economy approach
• Part 2: Using a circular economy approach to redesign renewable energy infrastructure 

Even if renewables promise an endless source of energy, the materials to build the required infrastructure are not. To avoid this problem, the adoption of a circular economy strategy is required since the beginning, experts say.
