The national PV conference in Bern was a very diverse event targeted to the progress in the expansion of PV technology with a focus on the Swiss market. Various political and economic topics were discussed, which are necessary to push the development of PV technology, new technologies were presented by representatives of industry and R&D, especially in the field of BIPV and of course the event was super helpful for networking and to get to know the big players in the Swiss PV industry.

The Bern University of Applied Sciences was represented by the chair of PV Technology who held a presentation and exhibited several posters about their current research. Especially regarding to the progress of the circular economy in the PV industry, the BIFA and Fraunhofer Institute presented some insights about the current state of the art in PV recycling.
